MORE FOOD, LESS WATER
Agriculture has always been an essential part of human life and has always been one of the pillars of economic activity. As we continue evolve much of the world’s fruits and vegetables are grown on acres of open fields which consumes large amounts of water. Here are some of the ways in which aquaponic and hydroponic farming can help with creating a more sustainable food supply.
Reduce water usage
Because aquaponic and hydroponic systems recycle water, they utilise less water than traditional farming. Aquaponic systems use 90% less water than traditional farming, according to studies.
No pesticides
Our farming techniques use controlled environments to produce plants without pesticides. This produces safer and healthier crops
Reduced land use
Aquaponic and hydroponic agricultural techniques need less land and may be utilised in cities. This prevent deforestation and habitat loss.
Increased crop yield
Hydroponic and aquaponic farming techniques generate more crops than regular farming. Because plants are grown vertically with perfect growth circumstances like regulated nutrition levels.
The world is facing the enormous challenge of feeding a rapidly growing population without putting further pressure on our environment and compounding climate change. Urban Farm Tech provides a more sustainable food system.
